I like to make something for my friends. I was looking for patterns for Jewish Holidays. It is hard to find anything. I decided to design and make potholders for Jewish holidays. This one is for Passover.

At the Passover seder, we drink four cups of wine (and listen and respond to the “four questions” posed by the “four sons”) in correspondence with the “four expressions of redemption” promised by G‑d to the children of Israel through Moses: “I will take you out from the suffering of Egypt, and I will deliver you from their bondage; I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments. I will take you to Myself as a nation, and I will be to you a G‑d…” (Exodus 6:6-7)

BORDER
After row 30, both A and B are at the right, top corner of your potholder (if you are
right-handed, or the left corner if you are left-handed). Fasten off B. With A, ch 1, and
turn.
Round 1. Start crocheting along the top side of the potholder.
Top Side: sc 30, ch 1 at the corner, start working on the next side.
Left Side: sc 30 on the left side, ch 1 at the corner.
Bottom Side: sc 30 on the bottom, ch 1 at the corner.
Right Side: sc 30 on the right side of the potholder, ch 1 at the corner. Join the round
with a sl st into the first st.
(30 sts on top and bottom, 30 sts on left and right sides, 1 ch at each corner).
Rnd 2: Top Side: ch 1, sc 15. Hanging Loop. Ch 15, sl st back into the last sc made, ch
1, and turn. Sc 18 inside the loop you just made, sl st back into the last sc of the 15 you
made at the beginning of the round. Sc 15 to complete the top side of the potholder. At
the corner, [sc, ch 1, sc].
Start working on the next side.
Left Side: sc 30 on the left side, [sc, ch 1, sc] at the corner.
Bottom Side: sc 30 on the bottom, [sc, ch 1, sc] at the corner.
Right Side: sc 30 on the right side of the potholder, [sc, ch 1, sc] at the corner, sc. Join
the round with a sl st into the first st.
(32 sts on top and bottom, 32 sts on left and right sides, 1 ch at each corner).
Fasten off, weave in all your ends.
